The first of many profile pages for my original-novel-in-progress, Darkstar.

I would appreciate critique on this, as it's the first one I'm posting.

Download for fullview, but if you steal, so help me, I'll find you.

Thanks!

This is quite impressive! You created a concise background to Cail's character, readily comprehensible. I also admire the straight forwardness of his character here. Cail's determination really propels this story into one of real depth, esp his perseverance through the troubles of his life.
Also, the factual details, such Hair, Eyes, Race, Attire, Weapons creates a real solid understanding of Cail, which speaks volumes how we will view him as read "Darkstar"
It's great how you have outlined his life, beginning with his parents, the tragic deaths of his parents, he and his sibling's being sold into slavery, his new life with the nomadic fighters, yet he returns time from time to the Innkeeper and his family. I do like the character of the Innkeeper, he appears to be a very compassionate person to take Cail in, esp as Cail was degraded as a slave at that time.
The map is impressive, it always astound me how artists can create accurate maps of fictional lands, and the the names sound very well placed and blends with the setting.
Cail is quite handsome here, esp his strong facial features, you can see his heritage clearly, and he does shave the hints of prince's persona and an even stronger workman. The scar is well done, the hair has a great design, spiked up, yet long in the back as a ponytail. His anatomy is superb as well, lean, wiry, muscular. The musculature is well drawn, well balanced.
The attire really has a LOTR esque flavor, but it's clear this is your own style. The armor is a treat to see, and it really seems to meld with his body, ideal for combat.
All in all, this is fantastic to see, and I regret I've not followed this more closely. With my own characters and writing, I can more than certainly take many lessons from this piece alone. You have taught me a good deal about writing and characters building, and I think I shall do the same with my characters as you did here. You are really forming such a stone-solid structure here, and I am immensely eager to see more!

I misread your description and thought it said "graphic novel-in-progress" and got really over-excited for a second.
